Alverton Restaurant
Our restaurant has achieved several awards, currently 2 AA Rosettes, with our style of food described as British. We believe in cooking using traditional methods, starting with basic stock pots and working in collaboration with local suppliers, allotments and small growers meaning we have eliminated much of the travelling our produce used to do. Seasonality and flexibility is paramount in harvesting this countys great resources. Adapting Victorian recipes held in our own library we can make the humble turnip exciting to our guests.

Private Dining at Alverton Manor
Once again the Alverton Manor holds to traditional values where in all private dining areas we still carry out full silver service to our guests, whether it is for two or one hundred guests.

Several rooms are available, the Great Hall for large grand occasions to the smaller Library and Duchy suites for more intimate gatherings. Beef, lamb and other main courses are carved at your table from the silver carving trolley, whilst white starched tables cloths and knapkins, fresh flowers from the garden and at dinner silver candelabra adorne the tables.

Fresh Local Produce
The hotel has made every effort to not only decrease the miles our produce travels but also to ensure we can guarantee how the produce has spent much of its life. We work to this ethos in every thing we do, for example by rearing our own Devon Red Cattle and by locating free range Lamb, Chicken and Pork.

Bee Hives and Alverton Honey
In our persuit of supplying our guests with quality, local food, the hotel purchased its own Bee Hives last year and they have become well established. We are already using our honey in the kitchen and restaurant  and are now in a position to let our guests purchase jars of honey to take home. You can be assured that it is a purely natural product with no additives of any description other than the Alverton Manor flowers.
